I have tried and experimented with almost any ‘sexual’ supplement under the sun.
And here is the ugly truth: Most of them are a complete waste of time and money. 😡
But I have found supplements that work. Really freaking well! 👍

Nitric oxide is an absolutely essential ingredient in order for you to get an erection.

What nitric oxide does, is to make what is called the smooth muscles in your penis relax.

The 3 Keys To Succeed With Supplements
I have learned that most supplements are a waste of time and money. Most of them, despite good intentions, simply don’t work.
Therefore:
Based on hundreds of experiments, I have learned that there are three really important aspects to succeeding with these supplements:
- Quality
- Dose
- Timing

Quality Of The Supplements
Most herbal supplements you find at a supermarket or nutritional store, are not going to work. At least that is my experience.
These supplements are normally not very potent. Meaning, they often contain only a small amount of the active ingredient.
For instance for Horny Goat Weed, where the active ingredient is icariin, you will often see that these supplements only contain 5% or 10% icariin.
My experience is that a great Horny Goat Weed supplement should contain at least 50% icariin.
Also, sometimes these supplements have been sitting on the store shelf for several months, or even years. Years may have passed since they were actually produced.
Old supplements tend to be less effective than new ones.
And sometimes, these supplements don’t even contain what they are supposed to contain. Particularly cheap supplements have a large risk of containing less than the stated amount of the active ingredient.
In fact, when it comes to herbal supplements, I have never gotten good ones from regular nutrition or herbal stores.
Only when I have purchased these supplements directly from, or as close as possible to the manufacturer, have I had positive experiences.
Non-herbal supplements however (such as L-citrulline and ZMA), are normally of good quality from regular nutrition or herbal stores.
I also only buy herbal supplements in powder form. My experience is that this increases the chance that the supplements are clean (not mixed with fillers), or otherwise tainted with.

What Dosage To Take Of These Supplements?
Disclaimer: What you are about to read is based on my experiences with taking supplements, and how my body has reacted to these supplements. This should not be interpreted as advice from me to you. If you want to experiment with supplements, that is an independent choice you make and you assume all risks. Your body may react differently to these supplements than does my body.
In order to get the desired effect from supplements, my experience is that a relatively large dose is needed.
I have tried countless supplements in countless forms. When I have followed the recommended dose as stated on the container or package, I have experienced no or very small effects.
For instance, taking 200 mg of even the finest, purest and highest quality Tribulus Terrestris powder, has had no noticeable effect on me. It is simply not enough to cause the desired reaction in my body.
Therefore, in order for my body to achieve the effects that I seek, I need to take larger doses.
I have found that about 7 grams of most of the herbal supplements work really well for me.
Sometimes, a little less works fine as well, such as 5 grams. But I normally stick to about 7 grams.
7 grams is normally about a tablespoon that is not fully topped.

Timing: When To Take These Supplements?
To take supplements in the morning, when I will have sex in the evening is almost pointless, at least in my experience.
The supplements will only be active in your body for some period of time. This period typically lasts for something like 4-8 hours, depending on the supplement.
That is because your body digests and processes the supplements. Therefore, after a few hours, the effects of the supplements are gone.
I have found that taking the supplements 60-120 minutes before sex normally works really well.

My Top 5 Supplements
As I mentioned, I have experimented with almost any ‘sexual’ supplement under the sun, and these are my 5 top ones.

Below, I will explain how each of them work, which of the 3 effects they produce for me, and also how much I take of each of them.
In addition, I will talk about one bonus supplement that has amazing properties.
Let’s start with L-arginine.

L-arginine (L-citrulline)
- Form: Loose powder
- Dose: One tablespoon (not fully topped) (approximately 7 grams)
- When: 60-120 minutes before sex
- Effect on libido: None
- Effect on erection: Good
- Effect on sensation: None
- Taste: Neutral (L-citrulline has a citrusy taste)
- Verdict: A very nice one that I use every time I take supplements 👍

L-Arginine can be super powerful at boosting your erections.
How?
L-arginine does one very specific task: It provides you with ingredients to produce nitric oxide.

Let me explain from the beginning:
The inner lining of your blood vessels are covered with cells that are called endothelial cells.
Inside these endothelial cells sit a group of enzymes, called nitric oxide synthase.
These are the ‘factories’ that produce nitric oxide.
And they produce nitric oxide by stealing a nitrogen atom from L-arginine, and combining it with an oxygen atom from molecular oxygen.
And as you supplement with L-arginine, you will have more ‘fuel’ to create nitric oxide.
I also mentioned L-citrulline above. The two molecules are super similar, but I prefer L-citrulline.
Let me explain:

The goal of supplementing with L-arginine, is to deliver this L-arginine to the enzyme nitric oxide synthase.
This way, nitric oxide synthase can use this L-arginine to produce nitric oxide. Which you need in order to get erections.
However, supplementing with L-arginine may not be the optimal way to get L-arginine to your nitric oxide synthase.
Why?
Because your gut and liver break it down. So that in the end, only a small amount of the L-arginine actually reaches the end destination.
Research has indicated that as much as 38-75% of the L-arginine is lost on the way.
Therefore, you may be better off supplementing with L-citrulline instead.

Why?
Because it does not undergo transformations in your gut or liver (or at least to a much smaller extent).
And:
When it reaches your kidneys, it is transformed to L-arginine.
Which means that essentially all the L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine, which is then available for nitric oxide production.
This is what you want.
Although L-arginine and L-citrulline can be amazing at helping you get erections, they will typically not increase your libido nor increase your sensations from sex.

ZMA
- Form: Capsules or tablets
- Dose: 500 mg
- When: 60 – 120 minutes before sex
- Effect on libido: Somewhat
- Effect on erections: Good

Garlic supports your sexual health via the following pathways:
- Increases hydrogen sulfide production
- Increases nitric oxide production

Garlic Increases The Production Of Hydrogen Sulfide
The major biologically active component of garlic is something called allicin.
However, allicin is not found in healthy or ‘uncut’ garlic. The garlic plant produces this allicin when it is attacked by fungi or other soil pathogens. Allicin causes damage to the intruders, and is therefore the garlic’s defence mechanism against microbial pathogens.
When allicin is created, it turns into a variety of fat and water soluble sulfur-containing compounds. These compounds release hydrogen sulfide, which is part of garlic’s unmistakable smell and taste.
Hydrogen sulfide, a foul-smelling gas (found in rotten eggs for instance), has relatively recently been found to have vasodilating properties in penile tissues, similarly to nitric oxide.
However, while nitric oxide works via the cGMP system (which is also the target of PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra), hydrogen sulfide is known to directly open potassium channels, and therefore cause relaxation in penile tissue this way.
So it’s not only nitric oxide that can cause the blood vessels in your penis to open up and expand, but hydrogen sulfide can also do this.
Hence, both nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide can help you get erections.

Garlic Improves Nitric Oxide Production
Not only does garlic improve smooth muscle relaxation via hydrogen sulfide, but also via nitric oxide. In other words, garlic directly supports your erections from two angles.
Research studies have shown that garlic promotes what is called nitric oxide synthase (the enzyme that produces nitric oxide).
So when this enzyme is more efficient at producing nitric oxide, you will also have higher levels of nitric oxide.
One study on rats showed that garlic extract increased nitric oxide production by 30-40%, within 60 minutes of administration.

Garlic Increases Testosterone Production
In studies on rats fed with garlic extract, researchers have also found a 25% increase in testosterone levels, compared to control groups.
The rats given garlic also demonstrated improved testicular integrity and function.
In addition, the rats administered with garlic also saw a significant increase in testicular weight.
Garlic is rich in zinc and selenium, and it has been theorized that these compounds could be responsible for the increase in testosterone.

Garlic Can Reduce Glucose, Cholesterol And Atherosclerosis
If you have elevated levels of glucose and cholesterol in your blood, garlic consumption can help you reduce these levels.
This will make your blood thinner and make it flow more easily in your body.
Also, with less glucose and cholesterol in your blood, there will over time be less deposits of these components inside your blood vessels, and you will as a result have less clogging of your arteries, or atherosclerosis.
With thinner blood and less clogging, your blood is allowed to flow more freely through your veins. This will in turn help prevent or reduce erectile dysfunction.
In addition, research has also shown that garlic can reduce diabetes.

There is one problem with taking 3 of these supplements in powder form (Pine bark, Tribulus Terrestris and Tongkat Ali):
They taste absolutely awful! 😆
What I did initially was to mix the supplements in water and drink them. But the taste was often so bad I wanted to scream!
So what I do now instead, is that I put these 3 supplements in capsules (using a capsule making set). When I swallow the capsules, there is zero taste.
You find capsules and a capsule maker set here, but you can also simply go to amazon or any other online retailer and search for capsule maker set + capsules and you should find it.
However, this is a bit of a hassle, so perhaps the first time you try these supplements, you just want to be brave. Meaning, mix them in water and drink it up.
What I did after drinking them, was to already have a teaspoon ready with honey. And as soon as I had swallowed the supplements mixture, I ate the honey. Wasn’t too bad. 👍
I have mentioned that the effect of these supplements can be even more astonishing when combining several of them at the same time. Let me explain:

The Effects Of These Supplements Can Be Sensational When Combining Them
After I had my epiphany with Tribulus Terrestris and then later experimented with more supplements in high doses, I started combining various supplements.
And the effects I got from this were even more amazing.
The combinations were even more reliable than taking just one supplement. And these combinations normally produced astonishing results pretty much every time.
The effects were also stronger and more intense.
Why is this the case?
Well for starters, when I take a combination of 4 supplements instead of just 1, I take a larger volume of supplements, which should improve the effect.
But also, many of these supplements work in different ways. Meaning, they impact the body via different pathways.

For instance, one supplement may increase nitric oxide via one pathway, while another supplement may make the enzyme nitric oxide synthase more efficient at making nitric oxide.
Just like one supplement may increase testosterone via one pathway and another supplement may increase testosterone via another pathway.
Therefore, by taking more than one supplement at the same time, I can impact several production channels of these three key elements. Hence, I can get increased total production, and also, they can support each other and thereby have synergistic effects.
The end result: Effects that are even more intense and more reliable, than taking just one individual supplement.
The first supplements I combined?
L-arginine and Pine bark.
I wanted to try because I had read research studies about this combination, and the reported effects were impressive.

And the effects I got were really good! Particularly my erections were firmer and harder.
I then added one more supplement to the mix. And then another one.
And I then experimented with several combinations of these supplements.
What I have learned is that combinations work really well! 👍
And what I have found is that a base combination of three supplements, L-citrulline, Pine bark and ZMA + one herbal supplement, typically works incredibly well for me.
So for instance, if I take L-citrulline (7 grams) + Pine bark (7 grams) + ZMA (0.5 grams) + Tribulus Terrestris (7 grams), I normally get amazing effects.
Normally my libido increases.
My erections come super easily. They are also normally super hard and full, and don’t fade during sex.

And the pleasurable sensations I experience when having sex are significantly more intense than normal.
It normally doesn’t matter too much which herbal supplement I take (of the two mentioned above), because they both normally work really well.
And the effects I normally get when combining supplements this way are not just great, they are to me fantastic!
I will go as far as to say that when taking supplements in these combinations, my erections are so hard and so firm, that they are on par with the erections I got from pharmaceutical drugs such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
But..
To me these supplements are much better than Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
Because these combinations also give me two effects that pharmaceutical drugs don’t give me: They increase libido and amplify the pleasurable sensations from sex.

And not only that, but pharmaceutical drugs typically give me bad side effects such as a flushed red face, stuffy nose, blurred vision and sometimes headaches.
I have never gotten any negative side effects from supplements.
In fact, many of the supplements have several positive side effects. Meaning that they have other positive effects on your body, other than the sexual ones.
Some supplements contain lots of antioxidants, are antibacterial, restore hormonal imbalances, cure illnesses, etc.
So I have had great results taking large doses of supplements and even combining large doses of several supplements.
But is this safe?

A Few Words About Safety
Is it safe to take these supplements in the doses that I have been taking?
In the combination I mentioned above, there would be 3×7 grams + 0.5 grams, which is more than 20 grams.
Is this not too much?
The answer is that I simply don’t know. I am also not aware of any reputable studies that have looked into these supplements in large doses.
Neither am I a doctor. I am just a guy that has done a lot of experimentation. 😀
What I can say however, after having taken supplements in these doses for several years, is that I have never noticed any negative side-effects or experiences.
Even when I have taken them 3 times a week, I noticed no negative effects.
However, it’s of course possible that there could be accumulated negative effects that will only present themselves in time.
Also, even if I have never experienced any negative effects, that does not mean that these are 100% safe. I simply don’t know.
Should you want to try these supplements in these doses, it is possible that your body will react differently. It is therefore possible that you may experience negative side effects.
Therefore, if you choose to take any of these supplements, you do this 100% at your own risk.
